The UN Environment Program estimates that there are 46,000 pieces of plastic litter in every square mile of ocean, and a swirling vortex of trash twice the size of Texas has spawned in the North Pacific.

Probably, the UN should start from own rubbish: so far, the UN activities most outcome is soil-filled latrines left behind round a globe.

It’s a sad state of affair. Plastic, the symbol of modern civilization has become a nuisance and there is no place on the planet it has not invaded. I think the idea of biodegradable plastic is great after all, plastic do have excellent properties that has made it so popular. Banning it all together will deprive us from the benefits of plastics.
